About Me

I'm a teacher of Modern Languages, and am passionate about language teaching and the engagement and motivation of students.  It's job and a challenge I enjoy, I'm keen on trying to harness technology to inspire and was one of the first teachers in England to have set up a blog for students.  I have also worked with wikis to promote collaborative learning.

I still run the Northgate MFL blog, and the Northgate MFL wikispace, have written resources for KS3 text books, appeared before the All Party Parliamentary Group on Modern Languages at the House of Lords, and have appeared in the Times Educational Supplement.

Somehow I find the time to play a bit of tennis, bass guitar, and reach new levels of frustration following Ipswich Town.
